We offer several different Cardiology services here at VCA Leon Springs.

Cardiology is the branch of medicine that is dedicated to the study of the heart and blood vessels, otherwise known as the cardiovascular system. Our hospital offers several different cardiology services which will help your pet’s doctor assess any problems or conditions present.

Some of the conditions which may affect the cardiovascular system can include:

  • Congestive Heart Failure
  • Hypertension
  • Dilated and Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy
  • Heart Arrhytmias
  • Valvular Disorders

Your veterinarian may use one of several different methods to explore your pet’s heart, should further analysis be necessary. Please visit our pages discussing Echocardiogram and EKGs, located under our Advanced Care tab.

If your veterinarian feels that your pet has a more advanced condition, they may recommend a referral to a board certified cardiologist.
