VCA Causeway Animal Hospital

Martin St. Germain, DVM, Associate Veterinarian

DVM, Texas A&M University

Dr. St. Germain was born in New Orleans and was raised in the metropolitan area. He attended Cor Jesu High School and completed his pre-veterinary curriculum at LSU. Dr. St. Germain received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine form Texas A&M in 1970.
After two years as a Post Veterinarian in the Army, he returned to Metairie and opened Causeway Animal Hospital in 1972. He was determined to become a veterinarian when he was 12 years old and his grandmother commented he would be a good animal doctor because of the way he took care of all of the neighborhood strays.
Dr. St.Germain is married to his high school sweetheart, Diane. They have two children. They have also raised several wonderful Golden Retrievers and now enjoy the company of a mischievous calico kitten named Chessie.
"I love the work that I do and can't imagine any profession as challenging and rewarding as veterinary medicine."
