VCA Brown Animal Hospital

Gina Rendon, DVM, Associate Veterinarian

DVM, Tufts University

Dr. Rendon was an army brat, growing up on army bases all over the world. She currently lives in northern New York and commutes to Vermont, enjoying her daily ferry-ride across Lake Champlain. Dr. Rendon graduated cum laude from Smith College in 1995, and earned a masters degree in Brain and Cognitive Sciences from MIT in 1998. She graduated from Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002 and has practiced small animal medicine ever since. Prior to joining the team at VCA Brown Animal Hospital in 2007, Dr. Rendon worked in small animal practices in Boston and Montreal.
Dr. Rendon enjoys spending time with her family, which includes Jon, her indulgent husband, her aspiring veterinarian daughter, Phoebe, Roger, the worlds's most handsome Puggle, Lola, a slightly naughty kitty, a geriatric mouse name Lee Scorsby, and Alpha, a nearly maintenace-free fish. When she is not at the mercy of her pack, she spends her time reading everything and anything, tries out new healthy recipes on Jon and Phoebe, works in the yard and garden, and tries ber best to keep the house from falling down around her. She also fits in a good run every now and then.
Dr. Rendon loves the challenge of being a general veterinary practioner and is energized by the variety of cases she sees every day. Currently, Dr. Rendon is expanding her skills in the dental arts, though keeping current on all aspects of veterinacy medicine is her highest priority.
