I started working at VCA Ariline Animal Hospital in June of 2010. I had recently moved back from Brooklyn, New York, where I lived for five years. I was working as a nanny there and had been contemplating switching my care from children to animals for quite some time. I had also done professional dog walking in New York and volunteer work at the local shelter. I've had many animals in my life and was always very close to them. Last year, I adopted a daschund mix that otherwise would have been sent to the shelter. Eleanor came to me heartworm positive and neglected. Dr. Kahn and I started her heartworm treatments right away. Now she is a much happier dog and heartworm free. She follows me everywhere when we are together. At work, I strive to give all animals here individual attention to make thier stay as comfortable as possible. If I can cheer up even one pet throughout my day, then I feel satisfied that my time is well spent.
