    Shelly C.

    Shelly has worked in Veterinary Medicine since 1998. Originally from Vernal, Utah, Shelly has called many places home such as Oklahoma, Louisiana, and California. After arriving to Texas in 1992 she found her passion to be working with animals. She has experience in large animal and small animal medicine. She has a soft place in her heart for Dachshunds, as she has one at home named Scrappy Doo. Her other four legged children include three horses: Brandy, Dakota, and Midnight. Shelly is the "mother" of the technicians with her nurturing and empathetic personality. She and her husband are avid campers and enjoy spending time in the great outdoors. If she isn't caring for her patients, then she is at the ballpark rooting for her husband's softball team. She is also a devout Christian and attends church in Magnolia where she is involved in the ladies ministry.

    Theresa K.

    Theresa is a Registered Veterinary Technician orginally from Fergus Falls, Minnesota. She and her husband moved to Texas sixteen years ago so that he could attend Texas A&M University in College Station. After working as an Administrative Assistant for several years, Theresa attended Tomball College where she received a degree in Veterinary Technology. In addition, she holds a degree in Paralegal from Moorhead State University in Moorhead, Minnesota. She has a barn and household full of companions...twelve to be exact! Her "children" include 3 pet rats: Squeek, Eek, and Bubbles along with two Guinea Pigs, Evelyn and Ruby, two faithful Shephard mixes named Max and Jake and a rescued Hound mix named Sam. Theresa's feline family consists of two couch potatoes, Calvin and Pandora. The dozen pets are rounded off with a mini-lop bunny named Olivia, and a Paint gelding named Tobeornotoby (Toby). She is currently looking for a partridge in a pear tree.

    Denise A.

    Denise is a 2006 graduate of the LSC-Tomball Veterinary Technology program where she earned her Licensed Veterinary Technician degree. Denise has been a member of the VCA team since her graduation. She has an advanced degree in Psychology and Sociology from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio and is keenly aware of the importance of recognizing and nurturing the human-animal bond. She is especially interested in veterinary geriatric medicine, hospice care, and grief support. Denise is married with two adult children and two grandchildren. She is the proud pet parent of two dogs, Taffy and Tootsie, and also caters to the whims of four spoiled feline housemates, Chelsea, K.C., Titan, and Oogie.

    Rhonda R.

    After a successful 30 year career in sales, Rhonda decided to follow her passion of working with animals.  Accepted into the veterinary technician program at Lone Star College, she became a Certified Veterinary Technician.  Rhonda went on to graduate from the program and passed both her State and National Board exams to become a Registered Veterinary Technician (now known as a Licensed Veterinary Technician after 2014 state mandated changes).  In her free time, Rhonda enjoys breeding and showing her champion quarter horses.  She has earned 2 Reserve World Champions, and once won Grand Champion Stallion at the Houston Livestock Show.

    Natalie C.

    Natalie has worked as a veterinary technician for the past 14 years, and cannot see herself doing anything else!  Growing up in Katy, TX, Natalie relocated to the Spring area after graduation, where she eventually met and and married the love of her life.  Her super cute and very smart Boxer, Kendyl, joined her human family, consisting of 3 boys and 2 girls, a few years ago, and doesn't seem to have any idea that she is a dog.  In her spare time, Natalie enjoys traveling, scuba diving, reading, and dabbling in the culinary arts.  For fun, Natalie would really like to go to a culinary arts school, but for now, she is continuing to pursue her degree in business management and helping creatures that cannot help themselves.

    Jordan C.

    Jordan is currently a high school senior with a passion for Irish dancing. As a competitive dancer, she spends most of her free time practicing and traveling to dance competitions. Jordan has always had a heart for taking care of animals and plans to become a Registered Veterinary Technician after graduation. In addition to her grandparents and Mom, she also shares her home with six furry friends; Tootsie and Taffy (dogs), Titan, K.C., Chelsea and Oogie (cats).

    Derick M.

    Originally from Los Angeles, CA, Derick relocated to Texas in 2007.  When he's not teaching a class as a church youth leader, going to school or working, Derick enjoys spending time with his mother and two dogs (Mario, a Pomeranian, and Molly, a Beagle mix), playing the occasional video game and working out at his local gym.  Derick hopes to transfer to Sam Houston State University to pursue a Bachelors degree in Biology.

    Jessie is currently a high school senior who plans to attend Texas A&M after graduating in hope of becoming a veterinarian.  She enjoys spending time with her friends, running and playing with her Husky, Koda.  Jessie likes working at VCA Woodlands Animal Hospital because it allows her to indulge her passion for working with animals.

    Matt S.

    Matt is currently a senior at Oak Ridge High School.  A member of the War Eagle Band, he plays trumpet, and had the honor of marching in the 2012 Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade.  In his free time, Matt enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends.  He has lived in the same house his entire life, and attends church in The Woodlands.  After graduation, he wishes to attend Texas A&M in hopes of becoming a veterinarian.  Matt has always loved taking care of animals, and has a chocolate lab named Dixie.

    Morgan S.

    Morgan is currently attending high school, and in the veterinary program at Wunsche.  A current 4-H officer and an active FFA member, Morgan loves working with animals.  She has 27 rabbits, two fish (Pearl and Brock) and a dog (Remington).  When she is not working, she enjoys hunting, fishing and watching her Grandpa and friends race at the dirt track.  Morgan is dedicated to helping animals, and her goal in life is to serve God and become a veterinarian.
