Founded in the early 1950’s, VCA Southside Animal Hospital has been the center for premier Veterinary care in the beautiful historic community of South Phoenix and its surrounding cities. From the moment you arrive and walk in the front door, you and your pet will feel at home as you enter our historic building that was once the home of the rectory of Saint Catherine of Siena Church adjacent to us.
Our hospital is assessable from the I-10 and I-60 with exists at 7th avenue, 7th street and Baseline Road. We are located on the South East corner of Central and Southern Avenues, next door to the CVS Pharmacy. We are open Monday-Friday, from 8am to noon and 1:30pm to 5:30pm, Saturday’s from 8am to noon, and closed on Sundays. We are appointment based but welcome walk-ins.
Some of the many services we provide are preventive wellness, sick care, early disease detection, vaccines, parasite control, spay and neuter, dentistry, digital x-rays, soft tissue surgery, some orthopedics, laboratory diagnostics, micro-chipping, along with Home Delivery services and CareClub, our comprehensive wellness plan for pets of all ages with easy affordable monthly payments.
We are primarily a dog and cat practice, but occasionally we will see companion exotics and reptiles on the days that Dr. Evans is on staff. Please call in advance.
We have been affiliated with the Arizona Department of Corrections K-9 unit for over 25 years, The Arizona Adopt a Greyhound organization for over 20 years, and have newly added the Arizona Humane Society.
