Caring for pets... and their people, too.

Nassau-Suffolk Animal Hospital is a full-service animal hospital that has proudly served the Farmingdale and surrounding communities since 1969. One of the first AAHA-accredited hospitals in New York over 30 years ago, and a N.Y. State Veterinary Facility Accreditation hospital, it is our strong commitment to the health and well-being of our patients that has enabled us to maintain that certification consistently through the years. Our qualified and compassionate staff looks forward to caring for all your pet's medical, boarding and grooming needs.

Local Medical Issues

Everyone realizes the health benefits of owning a pet, especially to older individuals. They offer companionship and sometimes a link to lost family. At Nassau Suffolk, we also realize they can be a source of concern when there health needs are difficult to manage simply because it is too hard for some people to get them to a doctor. If you are in such a position, give us a call. We promise to

Nassau-Suffolk Animal Hosp gets four paws up
Tracy Kasten Steinberg from Yonkers

We had an amazing bulldog named Snuggles, and just as many other bulldog owners, we would do anything and everything for her. As 'new parents', we began going to a local vet, but as time went by, we realized she was not getting the special attention she needed. We did our research and ended up out on LI at Nassau-Suffolk Animal Hospital and its caring (and well-educated) staff. We are from lower Westchester and spent the past several years trekking out to LI for all her necessary vet visits (and I must admit there were many, as bullies tend to need medical help many times a year!) Although our little girl is no longer with us, she was very well taken care of by the fantastic staff. They were extremely caring, compassionate, helpful and patient with us. They were always happy to spend extra time with us answering every question imaginable and giving the best advice for us and our bully. When the time is right, we hope to get another 'kid' (hopefully a bully) and will definitely continue to trek out to Nassau-Suffolk Animal Hospital for our all vet visits. It's great to know that a veterinary hospital exists where all the staff members are as kind and welcoming as they are. We hope to be back soon with a new patient for them to take care of. :)
