Caring for pets... and their people, too.

Welcome to VCA Montgomery Road Animal Hospital. Montgomery Road has been part of the community since the 1950s. We are located in Western Massachusetts where each season offers its unique beauty.

Originally a cow barn, VCA Montgomery Road Animal Hospital has developed into a modern, small-animal hospital offering quality medical care while continuing to provide service to our community.

We welcome you to meet our staff of highly dedicated and skilled individuals whose goal is to provide the best care possible for your furry loved ones.

Local Medical Issues

With the closing of the local MSPCA and the financial issues of Thomas J. O'Connor, it is imperative that we at VCA Montgomery Road Animal Hospital continue to build partnerships that support our animal shelters. Providing support to the community to improve the lives of our pets is essential to the overall well-being of our society.

We have a dedicated team of four doctors and 20 support staff to give your pet personalized service.

We have a multitude of talents and interests from relaxing nature walks with our dogs, to horseback riding, sheep shows, horse shows, dancing and outdoor activities in the snow, as well as the sun.

We are students, parents, grandparents, siblings, sons and daughters, as well as professional doctors, technicians, animal care attendants and customer care people.

We understand the bond between you and your pet because we are just like you. Our pets are part of our family. We will offer the best medical care possible to help your furry friend remain with you for as long as possible. You are a partner in your pet's care and we will work with you in providing that care.

We enjoy our community and provide support of our local schools, boy and girl clubs, scouts, police and fire student educational programs, and other community functions. We work with career programs in the high school as well as internship programs with Holyoke Community College and Becker University.

We consider it a privilege to care for your pets. What other profession can you share in the joys of a first puppy or kitten visit and care for them throughout adulthood until you share with them the sorrow of their final days?

We do not see ourselves as just having jobs. We are a team of healthcare professionals who love what we do.
