Local Medical Issues

Do you wonder why your pet needs year-round monthly parasite and heartworm prevention? Intestinal parasites or worms are a constant threat to your pet all year. The American Heartworm Society considers Atlanta to be at risk for heartworm infection year-round. For more information about parasite prevention, please talk with the staff at VCA Lilburn Animal Hospital.

Regular exams can help spot medical problems in your pet before they become serious or life threatening. We recommend regular comprehensive exams. During any routing exam we can also insert a Home Again microchip under your pet's skin. It is painless, quick, easy and can help bring your pet home if he or she is lost.

Boarding and Grooming

We also provide boarding and grooming at VCA Lilburn Animal Hospital. We have large air conditioned runs and kitty condos for your pets comfort as well as a large fenced in back yard. You can feel at ease knowing your pets are well cared for by our wonderful staff with veterinarians on site.

Senior Care

We have comprehensive senior screenings for pets over 7 years of age. Senior care at VCA Lilburn Animal Hospital is focused on prevention, early detection, and quality treatment of illness and disease in your pets. Working with your veterinarian is essential in identifying early indicators of health issues in your senior pet.

We try to balance the cost of every procedure we recommend against the benefit of that procedure to ensure your pet's well being and long-term health. After all, your pet is a very important part of your family! Our highly skilled veterinarians can perform a wide range of surgeries for your pet. We use state of the art anesthetic equipment and monitoring devices. Pre-anesthetic lab work and post operative pain medication is offered for the safety and comfort of your pet.

Diagnostic Services

Diagnostic procedures can help accurately diagnose your pet and determine whether more invasive procedures are necessary. We offer radiology with results reviewed by a board-certified radiologist. Other diagnostic services include skin testing and biopsy.

At VCA Lilburn Animal Hospital our staff is one of our greatest assets. Our staff is friendly, caring, and compassionate.
