My name is Megan Laverty. As long as I can remember, I have always had a passion for animals, both large and small. I always seem to remember having an interest in any animal I saw. I took Small Animal Science in High School and fell even more in love! I was always interested in diseases and the healing process, and realizing that there is always something new to learn. I started working for VCA Kirkwood in 2009 as a Kennel Assistant and moved up to be a Receptionist. In 2013, I finally worked my way up to a Veterinary Assistant. I love coming to work every day. I cannot wait to see what else this future has in store for me!

Animals always put a smile on my face. I love being able to heal some, I love caring for them while they are in our hospital care, and I absolutely love seeing them all leave happy and healthy!! I love being an advocate for the animals!
