Dr. Lawrie received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from the University of Delaware in 2003.
She then traveled down south to attend Veterinary School at the University of Georgia. She graduated in 2007 and moved to New York City to do a Small Animal Rotating Internship at the Animal Medical Center. After completing her internship Dr. Lawrie worked as an emergency veterinarian at the Animal Medical Center.

Dr. Lawrie grew up in Wilmington and now resides back in the area. She lives with her husband Rob, who is also a Small Animal and Exotic Veterinarian in Pennsylvania, and their 2 sons, Jackson and Finley. They have 2 beagles, Russell and Linda and a lab mix, Claire. She also has a cat named sprout.

In her free time she loves to spend time with her family and watch Georgia Football, Go Dawgs!

Being a veterinarian is something that I have always wanted to do. I knew from the moment I started in the field as a kennel worker at the age of 15 that I would never be happy doing anything else. I love both the science side of the field and also the personal side when I get to know the clients. I am proud to be an advocate for animals through my work."
