Diagnostic Imaging

Digital Radiography

Radiography (x-ray) is an important aspect of any diagnostic practice. Radiographs are used to diagnose disease in the chest, abdomen, and musculoskeletal system. Contrast studies of the gastrointestinal and urinary tract may also be performed. Both routine and “special contrast procedure” x-rays are performed at VCA HAH. We utilize a digital x-ray system to obtain the highest quality images faster. These images can easily be shared with pet owners and other veterinarians involved in the care of each pet. As with digital camera photographs, manipulations of the image allow for greater flexibility in interpreting the images. Digital radiography is utilized 24/7 by every veterinarian on staff at VCA HAH.
