Dr. Leslie Sanders received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a concentration in Chemistry from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison, NJ. She attended veterinary school at Ross University, St. Kitts, West Indies and completed her clinical year at the University of Illinois. After graduating, she relocated to northern New Jersey and spent ten years working at Roseland Animal Care. She has a special interest in internal medicine, ultrasonography, senior pet care, and nutrition. Dr. Sanders has been involved with the local shelters in northern NJ and with the NJVMA in performing hospital inspections. What attracted her to Freehold Animal Hospital was the dedication to high quality medicine and the care and compassion the doctors and staff maintain for their patients. Some of her interests include watching the Philadelphia Flyers professional ice hockey team, baking, running, and travelling with her husband and family. Dr. Sanders resides in South Amboy with her husband, son and two cats.
