"Before I started working at VCA I used to come in to buy supplies for my rabbit. The people working there were so friendly. After encouragement from the office manager, I decided to apply for a job. I had a degree in Business Administration but no animal experience except with my own pets. During the interview/observation of what the job would be like, I fainted in the exam room! Well I thought that was it, I definitely wouldn’t get the job now but I guess there was something that they liked about me because I was hired as a technician. I was trained on the job and after almost 18 years I’m still here. By the way I have never fainted on the job again. I love being able to educate clients and help pets so that they get the best possible care. I am grateful to be a part of the lives of so many pets and their owners and lucky to get to watch the pets grow up over the years. I try to treat the pets that are in the hospital as if they were my own and make them as comfortable as possible. I believe our clients are part of our VCA family because all of us that work here are like family. I am proud to be a part of the VCA team and enjoy coming to work everyday. I wouldn’t still be working here if I didn’t believe that all of us here always have your pets’ best interest and welfare at heart. I am lucky to have found a profession that I love to work in and believe that I can make a difference in the lives of people and their pets."
