At VCA Cromwell Animal Hospital, we look forward to welcoming you, your dog, your cat, and other pets. Since 1979, families throughout Middlesex county have trusted VCA Cromwell Animal Hospital to provide quality, compassionate veterinary care for all of their animal's health-care needs. Our veterinarians, technical staff, receptionists, groomer and kennel staff share your love for animals and understand that your pet is a member of your family. In fact, when you come in, you'll see exactly why our veterinarians are praised for their kind and thorough care. We'll give you and your pet all the time you need, and never rush through an exam. We'll also carefully track the course of your pet's care, which is so important to your pet's long-term health.
In addition to our hospital services, we also have dog and cat boarding available.

Ja mowie po polsku...Dr. Krystian Dabrowski speaks fluent Polish.

In every case, you'll be served by experienced, knowledgeable members of our staff. Our veterinarians, veterinary technicians and other pet-friendly personnel are trained to the highest standards. Their knowledge of the latest veterinary medicines and procedures ensures that all our pet patients get the best in prevention and healing methods.

During these economic times, we recognize how difficult it may be to provide health care to our pets. That is why we have started offering a Preventive Care Clinic on Wednesday mornings to help lessen the financial burden of the most basic of veterinary care. This is just one way we can say "thank you" to all our clients. We understand the struggles facing many of you in your day-to-day lives because we, like you, have many of the same demands. This empathy is what allows us to help you take care of your four legged friends.

Local Medical Issues

Veterinary dentistry is an essential part of our practice. Good dental care leads to good oral health, which can contribute to the overall health and well-being of your pets. Without good dental care, dogs and cats are at risk for gum disease, tooth loss, bacterial infection and systemic complications, such as kidney or heart issues. A thorough oral examination can identify potential problems, such as plaque and tartar buildup or gingivitis, and determine if a dental cleaning or periodontal treatment is indicated.

Leptospirosis is on the rise. As we encroach on undeveloped areas, we are coming in closer proximity to wildlife which is helping to spread the disease. Leptospirosis is a bacterial disease spread by contact with the urine of infected animals. Pets can contract lepto by drinking from contaminated puddles, ponds and streams. Symptoms vary (fever, weight loss, vomiting) and can eventually lead to kidney and/or liver disease, or even death. There is a vaccine that can protect your dog from the most common forms of the disease. Please ask your doctor if your pet is at risk and should receive this yearly vaccine.

We believe that the year-round use of Vethical QuadriGuard or ComboGuard and Frontline Plus or SimpleGuard 3 for dogs, and Revolution Or Paradyne for cats, is extremely important to protect against heartworm disease, as well as other internal and external parasites.
