Miranda was born and raised in Minnesota. The Minnesota Zoo has been her favorite place since she can remember, which has fostered a passion for animal care. Following her love for animals and science, she attended the University of Minnesota and graduated in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in Biology. Her favorite coursework included ornithology, microbiology, animal behavior/communication, and animal diversity. She joined the VCA Cedar team in the beginning of 2022 as a veterinary assistant. Veterinary medicine has allowed Miranda to turn her love for science and animals into a full-time gig! In her free time, she reads fantasy novels and walks her crazy dog, Dexter. She spends a lot of her time spoiling her dog, cats, and guinea pig with (too many) toys and treats. She hopes to meet you and your 4-legged family members soon.
