Caring for pets... and their people, too.

VCA Cedar Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary hospital offering medical and surgical services, as well as boarding. We enjoy caring for a wide variety of species, including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles.

Since it is transmitted by mosquitoes, which thrive in our region, it is a serious cause for concern. It can be fatal to both dogs and cats, but is almost 100% preventable with safe, effective, and easy-to-administer heartworm preventive medicines.

Leptospirosis is a bacterial disease which is also prevalent in our area, and can be risky to both you and your pet. Keeta the Macaw
Sue Larson from Minneapolis

Keeta is a blue and Gold Macaw I adopted from a rescue 3 years ago. Cedar Pet hospital is known for its avian care and its close proximity to my house the choice was clear. Keeta recently had an upper respiratory infection and I brought her in to be checked out but had no idea that she was a very sick bird. Without Dr. Munroe it brings tears to my eyes to think of what could have happened to my Keetie bird. Keeta was place in hospital care, Dr. Munroe put every ounce of her expertise and heart to the care of Keeta and gave me daily updates, encouragement and patient teaching. Because of Dr. Munroe Keeta will be fine and I am every grateful for her and Cedar Pet Hospital.
