Meghan comes to us from North Carolina where she attended veterinary technician school. She moved to Philadelphia in 2014 to be closer to her family. Meghan enjoys exploring the Wissahickon trails, taking care of her young nephew, and hanging out with her cat Polyanna. Meghan is excited to be part of the VCA family!

School: University of Cincinatti, Veterinary technology
Shannon was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati with her associates degree in veterinary technology in 2008. She has worked in many different areas of veterinary medicine including private practice, emergency medicine, and working in a histopathology lab. In the summer of 2015, she moved to Philadelphia to work primarily at Temple University's school of Medicine. After missing working with the "cute and fuzzies" she decided to come work weekends at the Cat Hospital. She enjoys relaxing with her 3 cats, Cash, Calypso, and Yoshi and taking her dogs Souey and Wilbur hiking and swimming at the beach.
School: La Salle University, B.S. in Biology
Geena was born and raised in Philadelphia. She graduated from La Salle University with a BS in Biology and hopes to pursue a career as a veterinarian. Geena joined the VCA Cat Hospital in 2013. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, their two cats Nala and Baloo and their new baby girl Isabella. When asked why she does what she does, Geena said, "I have always enjoyed working with animals and I love being able to make a difference in the lives of our clients and patients."

School: Pennsylvania State University, BS
Kim grew up in Lancaster, PA and started at VCA Cat hospital in the summer of 2010. Originally veterinary school bound, Kim graduated from Penn State with a BS in Animal Bioscience, and then from Drexel University with a degree in Laboratory Animal Science. Kim supports the cat hospital staff on the weekends; she works for the School of Medicine at Temple University during the week. In her free time, you can find Kim around the city playing ultimate frisbee, making cookies and candy or hanging out with her cats, Papoo and Taj. When asked about why she does what she does: "I choose to be a technician because I like to be a voice for the animals I care for, and their biggest advocate".
School: University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, B.S. In Biology
Brandi was raised in Harrisburg, PA, but moved to Philadelphia a few years ago for school. She recently graduated with a BS in Biology, and is currently continuing her education in hopes of becoming a veterinarian. In her free time, Brandi likes to explore the city with friends and spend time with her boyfriend and their cat named Cleopatra. When asked why she does what she does, Brandi said it is so rewarding to form bonds with clients and their pets and to able to make such an impact on their lives.
