Biography

Dr. Louise Rathjen was born in London, England and lived in Houston, Texas prior to settling down in California. She completed her undergraduate work at San Diego State University, earning a degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in physical therapy. She then went on to receive her degree in veterinary medicine at Western University of Health Sciences in 2011. To strengthen her practical application of veterinary medicine and to gain experience with more complex cases, Louise participated in an internship ast VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital prior to joining us here at VCA Blossom Hill.

Louise enjoys traveling, wine tasting, camping and spending time with friends and family. Currently Louise lives with her husband, Nick, their two kitties Travis and Veronica, and their dog Leroy.
