Lara has been involved in veterinary medicine since 2011 and became licensed in 2013 after earning an Associate's in Veterinary Technology. Lara moved to Alaska in 2014 and quickly fell in love with everything Alaska has to offer. Lara enjoys the company of her Golden Retriever (Waylon), cat (Meeko), and husband.

Lara is an avid gardener, hiker, and angler. Outside of work, Lara enjoys spending weekends with her husband ice fishing and working on their cabin. Lara is a strong advocate for improving the quality of patient care with interests in anesthesia and surgery.
