  • Technician Supervisor

    Wendy Linville
    Veterinary Tech School: Columbia State Community College

    Wendy joined VCA in August of 2013 and came to us an impressive background in animal medicine. She grew up living in a state park in New Johnsonville, Tennessee that is a Civil War battlefield. She considered going into human medicine in the form of becoming a nurse but decided her passion for animals was greater and veterinary technology united the two.

    After graduating high school she attended Columbia State Community College, graduating with an Associates degree in Veterinary Technology in 1989. Additionally Wendy became a Qualified Veterinary Dental Technician, from the American Society of Veterinary Dental Technicians in 1997. She also holds a certificate as a Health Assistant.

    When you and your pet visit VCA Animal Medical Center you will find Wendy working in the exam rooms and in the treatment areas assisting with patients during procedures.

    Wendy has been married to her husband John (a Public Health Veterinarian with the USDA) for almost 24 years, and we have a 20 year old daughter named Andrea. Some of Wendy’s hobbies include reading, traveling and sewing as a Costumer for Ballet Nebraska.

    Her furry family members include: Nikolaus (Miniature Schnauzer- 10yrs), Kahlua (Siamese mix cat -16yrs), Remi (African Grey Parrot-9yrs) "The Peeps"(2 Parakeets-6yrs)

    Shea Brandt
    Veterinary Tech School: Vatterott College
    School: Bellevue University, A.A.S in Veterinary Technology

    Shea Brandt is an Omaha girl. After graduating from high school she attended Vatterott College and graduated from the Veterinary Technology program in November 2013. In  March 2014. she passed her board exams and is now a Licensed Veterinary Technician  Additionally in March 2014 Shea is returning school to obtain her Bachelors degree.

    While in school Shea was consistently on the Dean's List. That is no surprise considering she loves learning about all the new changes in Veterinary Medicine. But most of all she loves the animals. She loves seeing very sick patients recover under our care and watching them bounce out the door of our clinic excited to go home.

    Shea comes from a large family where she has 4 brothers and 1 sister. She loves to travel when she is not working or studying. She has a Corgi named, Jeter, a black Lab named Zoey, and a cat named Rodger.


  • Licensed Veterinary Technician

    Angela Bucher, LVT
    Veterinary Tech School: Vatterott College
    School: University of Nebraska at Omaha Pre-Vet, A.A.S. Veterinary Technology

    Angela Bucher joined VCA Animal Medical Center of Omaha in 2013 after working in the field for over 6 years working in both general practice and emergency medicine were she served as the Director of Pet Nursing and as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She works as a Licensed Veterinary Technician and our Hospital Trainer. In this role she ensures quality care for every pet in our hospital as well as new hire onboarding, new training initiatives, and continuing educating tracking for the staff. She sites training, dental cleanings and assisting in surgery as just some of her passions in the field. She says she has always known that her place was working with animals as they mean so much to her.

    Angela received her Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology(AAS) from Vatterott College in Omaha, NE. She is currently studying studying at University of Nebraska at Omaha where she is Pre-Veterinary Medicine.

    Angela is the proud mother of Buffy—terrier, Willow—rat terrier/Chihuahua, Xander—Maltese/poodle. When Angela is not working she enjoys computer games and Science Fiction Television.

    Beth Griffis, LVT
    Veterinary Tech School: Iowa Western Community College
    School: Creighton University-Biology, A.A.S in Veterinary Technology

    Beth Griffis joined VCA Animal Medical Center of Omaha in 2012. She works as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Her favorite part of her job is helping to improve the health of animals and feeling like she is making a difference in the lives of pets and clients. She has always loved working with animals and for Beth it is a very rewarding field.

    Beth received her Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology(AAS) from Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, IA. She is currently studying biology at Creighton University. Prior to joining VCA Animal Medical Center of Omaha , Beth worked as a surgery technician at Iowa State University.

    Beth is the proud mother of two beautiful Corgis, Mercedes-10yr old Corgi mix, Charlie-5yr Pembroke Welsh Corgi, and a 3yr old cockatiel, named Henry. When not studying or working Beth likes to spend her free time with her family and friends, reading and watching action/adventure/suspense books and movies, and doing all sorts of fun outdoor activities.

    Michelle Janecek, LVT
    Veterinary Tech School: Vatterott College

    Michelle serves as VCA Animal Medical Center of Omaha's Surgical Technician. Michelle grew up in Omaha, NE. She joined VCA Animal Medical Center of Omaha in 2010. She graduated from Vatterott College in September 2008. She chose Veterinary Medicine because she loves working with animals and has always had an interest in the medical field. She really does not have a favorite part of her job she enjoys all of it.

    She has been married for 14 years and has a 10 year old daughter and a 13 year old son, they are both very involved in baseball and softball so that takes up a lot of her time. Michelle's family has a Samoyed-border collie named Snowbear, and five cats: Smokey, Atrayu, Snickers, Oreo, and Rocky.

    Taylor Stehno
    Veterinary Tech School: Vatterott College

    As Taylor grew up  in LaVista, NE, she explored many career paths but kept coming back to Veterinary Medicine. She has always felt a connection and love her animals and so it was a natural fit.

    After graduation from high school Taylor attended Vatterott College and received an Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary technology.  While in school she was given awards for Outstanding Ward Care Team Member and on the Dean's List. She is currently studying to take her board exams to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician.

    She is the youngest in her family and has an older sister. She recently got engaged. When she is not studying and working she loves to sing and listen to music.

    Kimberly Luers

    Kimberly Luers grew up in Wahoo, NE. After high school she attended Missouri State College and graduated in December 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with an emphasis in Equine Studies. Prior to joining VCA Animal Medical Center in 2013 Kimberly worked in both large and small veterinary practices in Missouri.

    Kimberly loves getting to know patients and clients over time and very much enjoys working with all the animals. The best part of her job is when an animal gets to go home and seeing both happy pets and owners.

    Kimberly has been married for 7 years. In her free time she enjoys horseback riding and reading. She and her husband have two dogs, Stark (a Beagle) and Jaffa (a Boxer mix). In addition to the dogs they also have a Mackrel Tabby names Mika and two quarter horses named Abby and Moonshine.
