Dr. Mix has been working in the veterinary profession since 1984. She has an associate’s degree in Chemistry, a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from San Diego State and her Veterinary Medicine degree form Oklahoma State University. She joined VCA in 2011 as a Medical Director in Las Vegas, and then moved her family to Omaha in 2013. She became Medical Director at AMC early 2015.

Her spare time is spent with husband, Gordon and her two kids, Carl and Caroline. Her other time is spent gardening in the summer. She has one dog, (Daisey), a beta fish (Lucky) and a hamster (Brownie).
