Biography

Dr. Patricia Stevens-Kopf is the Medical Director for VCA Animal Medical Center of Omaha. In this position she is responsible for establishing the medical quality and exceptional patient care practiced by all doctors in the hospital. Dr. Stevens-Kopf serves as a mentor and role model for the Associate and Staff Veterinarians.

Dr. Stevens-Kopf was born and raised in LeMars, IA. She attended Iowa State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science and then went on to attend Iowa State Veterinary School where she graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1976. Her first professional job became her life long home when she accepted as position in Omaha as a Staff Veterinarian at VCA Animal Medical Center of Omaha. She was named the Medical Director in 2001. Dr. Stevens-Kopf is a true trailblazer as she was the 2nd female veterinarian to practice in Omaha. She was named one of the Top 5 veterinarians in the region by VCA Leadership and continues to excel in her career.

Dr. Stevens-Kopf loves all dogs and cats (big and small) but she is passionate about poodles! She is a self proclaimed “foodie. She is also an avid birder and gardener. She and her husband Barry had one daughter who is also a Veterinarian-Dr. Kelli Kopf has a specialty in Neurology and Neuro Surgery and practices at VCA Alameda East in Denver, CO. Dr. Stevens-Kopf and her husband enjoy traveling-especially to the Caribbean in the winter.
