    Heather B
    School: College of Saint Mary, Masters of Organizational Leadership

    Heather is the Hospital Manager for VCA Animal Medical Center of Omaha. She oversees hospital operations, finances, human resources, facilities management and marketing. Her primary focus is quality patient care and excellent client service.

    Prior to joining VCA Animal Medical Center of Omaha, Heather worked in practice management, retail management, and as a management consultant. She has also worked for a U.S. Senator and a Congressman. As a consultant Heather has consulted with in the automotive, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, medical, non-profit, and retail industries, as well as clients in government and education.

    Heather received her bachelor’s degree in business leadership (BLD) and her Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership (ML) from the College of St. Mary in Omaha, Nebraska. She has published several research studies on “Leadership Skills That Lead to Financial Success in the Retail Industry,” “Generations and Interactions in the Workplace,” and “Key Components That Lead to the Success of At-Risk Students.” Additionally, Heather has a certificate in Animal Behavior.

    Heather has been a member of DECA, an international association for marketing students, and has served on the board of directors and as chairperson of the Business Partnership Network. She received recognition as a DECA Award of Merit recipient in 2005 and as an Outstanding Business Partner in 2006. She has also been a member of the Superintendent’s Advisory Committee for Millard Public Schools. In 2008, Heather was named a Rising Star for her strong performance and ability to create transformational relationships with clients. Heather is a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts having earned both her Gold and Silver award as well as being named 2001 Outstanding Volunteer.

    Heather has two Border Collies, Victotia (Tori) and Dalwhinnie (Whinnie). Heather is also a  classically trained soprano and has performed at Carnegie Hall and at the Vatican in Rome. When she is not rehearsing for her next performance she can be found reading.

    Todd Porter, LVT
    Veterinary Tech School: United Health Careers, Institute, San Bernardino, CA

    Todd has been a Licensed Veterinary Technician for over 35 years and taught student technicians for 13 years. Worked as chief technician at general practice, and then moved to a referral/emergency veterinary hospital in Orange County, California to become an oncology and surgical technician. He moved to the Midwest in Lincoln, Nebraska to manage a VCA general practice hospital. Todd recently transferred to the southwest where he managed our VCA Arrighetti Animal Hospital. Todd returned to Nebraska in 2015 to manage VCA Animal Medical Center of Omaha. Todd has had several pets over the years and now has two cats that he moved with him from Nebraska; Bob-rescued from the hurricane Katrina disaster, and Elliot was rescued from a box at a McDonald’s. He enjoys gardening, running, hiking, volunteering and going to concerts.

    Angela Bucher, LVT
    Veterinary Tech School: Vatterott College
    School: University of Nebraska at Omaha Pre-Vet, A.A.S. Veterinary Technology

    Angela Bucher joined VCA Animal Medical Center of Omaha in 2013 after working in the field for over 6 years working in both general practice and emergency medicine were she served as the Director of Pet Nursing and as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Angela was promoted in 2015 to Assistant Hospital Manager.  In this role she oversees quality patient care and excellent client service, management of finances and accounting, marketing and promotion of services, staffing and human resources, and discretionary activities, that serve to support effective business operations.  Angela also oversees front desk operations and  the extern program for the hospital. She sites training, emergency medicine, dental cleanings and assisting in surgery as just some of her passions in the field. She says she has always known that her place was working with animals as they mean so much to her.

    Angela received her Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology(AAS) from Vatterott College in Omaha, NE. She is currently studying Business Management at Bellevue University

    Angela is the proud mother of Buffy�"terrier, Willow�"rat terrier/Chihuahua, Xander�"Maltese/poodle. When Angela is not working she enjoys computer games and Science Fiction Television.
