Jim McGill, DVM, Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Jim McGill is a native Washingtonian. He attended undergraduate studies at both UW & WSU, graduating from the College of Veterinary Medicine, WSU, in 1972. After graduation he spent two years in the Army Veterinary Corps before joining and becoming a partner at Alderwood Veterinary Clinic between 1974 and 1982. In 1983 he established Alderwood Companion Animal Hospital as a solo practitioner. The practice and his family were simultaneously developed and expanded until the kids left home and the practice merged with Veterinary Centers of America (VCA). It has grown from a solo practice to a five-doctor practice where Dr. McGill now serves as Medical Director. His medical interests are diverse but enjoys surgery, endoscopy and general medicine the most. Outside interests include a passion for woodworking & hiking with a history of backpacking and scuba.
