Eliza moved to Washington from Oregon in 1994. The following year, she started her first job in the veterinary field as an assistant working at a small 24 hr trauma center in Poulsbo. From there her experiences expanded as she worked at various hospitals throughout VCA (previously Pet’s Choice) as a veterinary assistant, receptionist supervisor, inventory manager, and hospital team leader. Since starting with the company in 1998, Eliza has thoroughly enjoyed the experiences these different roles have allowed her to have. She has been with Alderwood Companion since 2007. In her spare time she enjoys furthering her education (she will be graduating in June 2015 from the University of Washington-Bothell with a degree in Biology), spending time with her husband and cats, and being a supportive Seattle fan by attending Husky football and Sounders soccer games!

Alexis was born in Mount Vernon Washington, but grew up in central and southern California. She attended the University of California, Santa Cruz (just south of San Francisco) where she received her Bachelors of Science in Marine Biology. Her main scientific interests are research based on isotope analysis and fisheries management. After graduating, she spent the next two years in Alaska working on commercial fishing boats for the National Marine Fisheries Service as an observer collecting management data. She was in need for a change of pace and to be around living animals, which brought her to VCA Alderwood Companion! She spends most of her free time hiking, fishing, hunting, and discovering new craft breweries. At this time her only animal companion is Francisco Optimator-her bearded dragon, but in the coming years she is hoping to find a Chesapeake Bay Retriever to raise and take on her outdoor adventures!
Sarah primarily grew up on the eastside of the state. She just recently moved to the Seattle area. Her love for animals started at a young age where she tried to take in every stray that she could. In 2007, her passion for animals grew even more when she began working in the animal world. Sarah continues to enjoy all the new experiences working with animals has to offer. Sarah currently lives in Mountlake Terrace with her husband, 2 spoiled dogs (a Great Dane/Lab mix and a long-haired Chihuahua), 2 "Queen B" cats, a Chameleon, and a talkative green-cheek Conure. She loves spending time and exploring with her husband and dogs, trying new things, being outdoors, and hanging out with family and friends every chance she gets.
Lillianna originally worked in the human side of the healthcare profession and thought that was where she would stay. Life has a funny way of moving you where you’re supposed to be, and so she found herself at VCA Alderwood Companion in 2008 doing what she loves the most; helping others and their pets. Her home is busy with her hubby and her 2-legged and 4-legged kids! Her dogs Maddie and Noah, are happy and always bouncing around, keeping her on her toes, and her kitty likes to get into a little mischief herself too! The only calm one in the bunch is Mr. Turtle (who is actually a female tortoise-but nevermind that), who watches all the chaos and fun from the serenity of her terrarium. Lillianna really enjoys coming to work and getting to know the clients and their companions. She considers it a blessing to be able to work, and to love what she does is even better!
Jill was 8 years old when her and her family moved to the Pacific Northwest from New York. She was born in Brooklyn in 1945. Her first job at a veterinary hospital started in 1967. She has been working in the profession since then! She really enjoys working with animals and their owners, making sure their pets' live a comfortable, long and healthy life. She has had her hands in almost everything that entails working in the profession, she even managed a hospital back in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for 6 years! Jill joined Alderwood Companion Animal Hospital with founders Dr. McGill and his wife, Bobbie, back in November 1994 (before the hospital even transitioned into a VCA owned hospital!) At this time, she has her hands full with her two kittens, Lily and Calla. In the past she has had birds, hamsters, cats and dogs. Other then her two special kittens, she enjoys gardening and is an avid cook (just wait until you try her rendition of Dr. McGill's infamous shortbread cookies during the holiday season!)
