    Sarah Poist
    Veterinary Tech School: San Joaquin Valley College
    School: California State University, Fresno, Registered Veterinary Technicican

    Sarah was born and raised in the desert and attended Fresno State and San Joaquin Valley College. She returned to the High Desert after receiving her Registered Veterinary Technician license in 2004. She has 10 years of experience in the veterinary field. She has worked at VCA Yucca Valley Animal Hospital for 6 of those years. Sarah is extremely dedicated to her work and shows great care and compassion for her patients. She is the head of our Surgery/Treatment department and always strives to deliver exceptional care to all of her patients. Sarah has a special interest in dentistry and ultrasonography. Sarah also cares for 2 cats and her miniature Schnauzer, Cheyanne at home. When not at work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband, dinner nights with family and friends. In the summer she enjoys riding dirt bikes and buggies, and in the winter she trades them in for a snowboard.

  • Veterinary Assistant

    Jessica Martinez

    Jessica is one of our hospital's Veterinary Assistants. She has been working in the veterinary field for 20 years and has been at VCA Yucca Valley for 10 years. Jessica loves spending time with her dogs and cat-she has quite a house full with 3 rescue Shih Tzu’s; Willie, Tuna, Daisy and her 1 guard cat: Sylvia. Jessica spends her time out of the hospital dismantling things and putting them back together and exploring with her mom. Jessica enjoys a challenge and one of the things she likes best about her job is the opportunity to learn every day and to help our clients and their pets feel good and happy.
