Dr. Erin Colvin, DVM started her education with a B.A. in Spanish Literature and minor in Biology and Chemistry at U.C.S.D. After completing her undergraduate degree, she went to St. George's University in Grenada, West Indies for her veterinary degree. She completed her fourth year clinical rotations at the University of Georgia. After finishing veterinary school she returned to California to start working. She worked at an all equine practice in Walnut Creek part time and a mixed practice in Wheatland for the first year. After that she shifted into mostly small animal practice, splitting her time between 2 practices in Wheatland and Lincoln California. Before starting work with VCA Yuba Sutter Animal Hospital, she worked at a hospital in Vacaville and another hospital in Roseville, also doing relief work for local VCA hospitals when her schedule allowed. This is how she came to work for VCA Yuba Sutter Animal Hospital. You may recognize her from her time about a year ago filling in for other doctors while they were on vacation. She still works one day a week in Roseville. In what little spare time there is she enjoys horseback riding, working out, and spending time with her fiance, two dogs, and two cats!
