Dr. Lindsey Smith earned her bachelor's degree in biology from Wingate University in 2009, then went on to get her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. After graduating from veterinary school she returned to Virginia with her family. While in Virginia she worked in private practice for seven years where she treated companion animals and local wildlife. She then practiced the next two years exclusively in companion animal medicine. She relocated to Wilmington continuing to practice companion animal medicine. Her interests are in preventative medicine and management of chronic conditions.

Dr. Smith enjoys a variety of outdoor activities but mostly enjoys driving out on the beach with her husband and 2 daughters. They also enjoy spending time at home with their three dogs and three cats.
