    Lisa always knew she wanted to work with animals. In high school, she started working at a local vet clinic as a ward nurse. That was the time she decided that she wanted to go to school to become a certified vet tech. Lisa graduated from Joliet Junior College in May 2008 and she started at VCA Worth in September 2008 as a full-time technician.

    In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her son, Caden, traveling to Hollywood, shopping, and seeing friends. In the warmer seasons, Lisa also volunteers with wildlife rehabilitation as she is now a licensed wildlife rehabilitator.

    Lisa lives between Tinley Park and Burbank with her 2 cats (Buffet & Kendra), rottweiler (Bandit), mouse (Lucy), and guinea pig (Cupcake).

    Mary graduated from JJC (Joliet Junior College) in 2005. She has been married since 1986. She currently owns 3 dogs; a Dalmatian named Diamond, a Terrier mix named Maddie, and a Rottweiler mix named Winchester.

    She enjoys gardening, playing her baby grand piano, and spending time with her family.

    Mary E. graduated from the Vet Tech Institute of Fox College in June of 2008 and joined our hospital that November. Mary has 2 dogs, a cat, and a ferret. She is also a licensed falconer.

    Veterinary Tech School: Joliet Junior College

    Jean decided to become a technician after working at a veterinary clinic and observing the job satisfaction that came with helping animals. She graduated from Joliet Junior College. She worked at VCA Berwyn Animal Hospital as a full-time technician in 2008. Within 8 months, she transferred to VCA Worth Animal Hospital. She shares her life with a cat named Cyrus that she adopted from a previous work place.

    Sherry Belanger
    School: University of Illinois, BS

    Sherry has been working in the veterinary industry since her first part-time job in high school at VCA Worth Animal Hospital. She loved it and has never looked back.

    As a technician, Sherry has experience in pet health insurance, quality assurance for a nation-wide pet hospital, veterinary pharmaceutical sales, and veterinary ophthalmology. She has worked at a sister VCA hospital over 10 years, and gained much experience as it is a referral center, as well as a 24 hour emergency facility.

    She has a German Shepherd Dog named Jackson. She loves wandering the trails with Jackson and looking for wildlife.

      Monica is our newest  team member in the technician department.  She has over 8 years experience in the field and she is currently working to earn her certification as a technician. Monica has worked at several different veterinary hospitals and clearly enjoys what she does for a living.  She owns her own cat, a domestic medium hair, named "Claws".  We look forward to our continued working relationship with Monica and welcome her to our family!
