Certified Veterinary TechnicianJessica Lundgren
Jessica Lundgren is a Certified Veterinary Technician with over eight years of experience. She has performed anesthesia on a wide variety of domestic, farm and exotic animals, from alpacas, horses, goats and pigs to ferrets and sugar gliders, and every size dog and cat from two-pound kittens to 200-pound Saint Bernards. Jessica is a huge Dachshund fan. She and her husband Christopher have three dogs including two miniature Dachshunds, April May and Rica, and a border collie, Riker. April May is an AKC Titled Senior Earthdog, and Riker is an AKC Canine Good Citizen and Advanced Obedience graduate, with sheepherding and agility in his future. Also in the hard are two cats: Monty and Turbo, and three backyard chickens.
Veterinary AssistantKaren Anderson
Karen Anderson has been working as a Veterinary Assistant since the summer of 2007. A long-time volunteer for the Oregon Humane Society, Karen is the Small Animal Room Volunteer Mentor, a position in which she trains new volunteers to work with the rodents, birds and rabbits at the shelter. She also volunteers with the local non-profit Rabbit Advocates, serving on their board of directors. She also serves as their Foster Coordinator, helping new rabbit foster-parents be the best they can be and find great forever homes for their fosters. In her spare time, she enjoys movies, music and long walks on the beach with her husband, Allen. Karen and Allen are the proud guardians of 2 cats; Desiree and Crysta, and 2 rabbits; Pearl (in photo) and Martin.
