Biography

Dr. Maggie George is a graduate of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. After practicing in Plano Texas for several years, she moved to Tulsa where she has made her permanent professional home with the VCA Woodland hospitals since 1993. Dr. Maggie says she loves working at this veterinary hospital because of the high quality medicine, surgery, and patient care that is provided. This has allowed her to blend her passion for medicine with her love for dogs and cats. Working with clients that love and care for their pets as members of the family is the icing on the cake. Her interests include preventative care, behavioral counseling, puppy and kitten care, internal medicine, dermatology, dentistry, pain management, hospice care for aging pets, and finding loving homes for the many cat and dog friends she fosters. Dr. George is married and has one grown son. She always has a house full of pets, from the current three dogs and four cats to many more foster kittens and puppies, older dogs and cats in need of homes as well as the occasional orphaned wildlife.
