Biography

Dr. Kathryn Downie rejoined the VCA Woodland Central Animal Hospital family as a veterinarian in May of 2012. Previously, she worked as a veterinary assistant for Central from 2004-2006. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Tulsa and worked as a registered nurse for the Tulsa Health Department. After this she decided to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian and attended veterinary school at Oklahoma State University. Her professional interests include ophthalmology and internal medicine. She received the Outstanding Senior in Ophthalmology Award her fourth year of veterinary school. In their free-time, Dr. Downie and her husband Shaun enjoy camping and spending time with their three fur-babies, Tucker, pictured above, and their two cats, Timmy and Teddy Winston.
