    Veterinary Tech School: Penn Foster

    Melodie is a huge animal lover and has worked with horses since she was eleven.  She started in the veterinary field in 2002, and has worked for VCA since 2007, joining the Broken Arrow family in 2011.  She currently has five dogs, one cat, and two turtles.  She has lived in Oklahoma with her awesome husband since 2000.  They just became proud parents to their first son, Christian, in March of this year.  They have a very full, but fun house!

    Erika DeHart
    Veterinary Tech School: Tulsa Community College

    Erika first came to VCA Woodland Broken Arrow to complete an internship for her Registered Veterinary Technician program at Tulsa Community College.  Once completing the internship, it was decided she was a good fit and we hired her in August.  She has three furry children, Jade who is a Mastiff/ Bull Mastiff/ Bulldog/ Boxer/ Vizsla/ Miniature Schnauzer mix, per the Wisdom Panel DNA test, and two domestic felines, Precious and Secret.  She is currently a full time student which keeps her extremely busy.  She loves working with animals so much she has dedicated her life to it!

    Paige Hafner
    School: Oklahoma State University, Biological Sciences

    Paige joined VCA in 2007 as a pet care specialist at one of our sister hospitals during her junior year of high school.  She has worked at several VCA locations, however, she has been primarily at the Broken Arrow location since 2008.  She was promoted to veterinary assistant upon graduation from Oklahoma State University with her B.S. in Biological Sciences in 2012.  She hopes to attend veterinary school at OSU in the fall of 2014.  Paige has two furry legged friends, her nine year old Dalmatian, Cassie, and her cat, Sonic; found as a kitten at a local fast food restaurant hence her name.  Paige enjoys playing soccer, reading, and cheering on the Cowboys, OKC Thunder, and the National Men's and Women's soccer teams!
