Dr. Critchlow was born in Boston, Massachusetts and grew up in the Northeast, where he went to college and enjoyed Cape Cod fishing and the outdoors. He went to Bates College in Maine where he played both soccer and lacrosse and graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Biology. Dr. Critchlow went on to veterinary school at California's Western University of Health Sciences where he met his wife, Blaire. After graduating with summa cum laude honors in 2012 he completed a small animal rotating internship at the Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center of Norwalk, CT. Dr. Critchlow and his wife moved to Louisville in 2014 where he worked in both emergency and general practice settings prior to joining VCA.

Dr. Critchlow enjoys fly fishing, the outdoors, traveling, and staying active. He has two young children, 3 dogs, 3 cats, and some backyard chickens. His interests in veterinary medicine include soft tissue surgery, dentistry and dermatology.
