VCA Winchester Animal Hospital

An Hoang, DVM, Associate Veterinarian

DVM, Texas A&M University

Biography

Dr. An Hoang graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. From there she worked several years in a downtown Chicago animal shelter. On any given day there could be upwards of 300 cats in the shelter. Here she became attuned to the unique needs and health issues of our feline friends. This is what led Dr. Hoang to work at VCA Hemingway, an all feline veterinary hospital in Saratoga CA. After VCA Hemingway’s closure in 2013 Dr. Hoang returned back to the world of canine and feline medicine joining VCA Winchester in August of 2013. Dr. Hoang’s special interests lay in integrative medicine. As a first step she is working on her certification in acupuncture through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society and hopes to be certified soon! Acupuncture is well known in helping to alleviate chronic pain and illness symptoms. Outside of work Dr. Hoang’s interest are reading, watching TV with her husband, walking her dog, Pepper, and travelling.
