Jim Breilein is a native Californian who has dedicated his life to helping pets and their families. He really loves his job and has been working as a technician since 1989. In 1999, he joined the team at VCA Wilshire Animal Hospital.
Jim and his wife share their life with 3 cats; Moufassa, Dexter and Skeeter, and 3 dogs; Hannah a pit bull, Twist, an American Eskimo, and a new puppy Chihuahua named Barney, who loves wearing his little plaid coat when it's cold.
Jim lives in Palmdale, California and commutes every day, 3 hours each way to Santa Monica. Jim and his wife also have a thriving pet grooming business in Norwalk, California.
When Jim is not working, he goes fishing with his dad, loves to cook on the grill, enjoys music and the outdoors.

Paul has been working for VCA since 1998. Paul started out in the kennel department and worked his way up to Veterinary Technician. During the holiday season he travels internationally with his wife Kasia who is a veterinarian. On his off days he snuggles with his cats Gator and Piki. He also has chameleon named Leonardo and just added a new addition Apple a green cheeked conure.
Star joined VCA Wilshire Animal Hospital in December 2004 as a receptionist. Her positive attitude and desire to help patients quickly earned her a position our Veterinary Technician department. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her cats, family and friends and loves exercising along the beautiful California coast.

David joined our team in October 2014 as a valued member of our Technician department. On his spare time David enjoys to spend time with his friends and family by going hiking, international traveling, road cycling and just enjoying the beautiful California coast.

John joined our team in the spring of 2014 as a kennel assistant and since then has moved to different positions throughout our hospital. He received a bachelor's degree in molecular and cell biology from the University of California Merced. He participated in research in genomics on Pacific Rockfish and on the iGEM research team while obtaining his undergraduate degree. He joined VCA with an interest to per sue a career in veterinary medicine. John is an animal lover, a vegetarian, and the proud owner of a Siberian Husky name Ziggy.
