Dr. Rachel Castellanos grew up in Central Florida and Southern California. She graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a B.S. in Biological Sciences in 1995. She then graduated as a veterinarian from U.C. Davis in 2000. Before and during veterinary school, she worked as an emergency and intensive care technician at both VCA Animal Care Center of Sonoma County and the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital at U.C. Davis. Upon graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Castellanos returned to VCA Animal Care Center as an emergency and intensive care clinician, where she worked for 13 years before transitioning to general day practice at VCA Westside Animal Hospital.
