    Courtney Zook
    Veterinary Tech School: Veterinary Technician Institute of Pittsburgh

    Courtney is a recent graduate of the Veterinay Technician Institue in Pittsburgh, PA. Courtney joined our team after completing an internship with us in early 2011. She has a special interest in preventive medicine. Outside of work, Courtney likes to spend time with her family, friends, and her dog "Ellie".

    Special note from Courtney: I decided to become a Veterinary Technician because I love animal and wanted to give them the best care possible.


  • Certified Veterinary Technician

    Shawnee Gilbert
    Veterinary Tech School: YTI Careeer Institute

    Shawnee is a Certified Veterinarian Technician who graduated from YTI Career Institute. She happily joined VCA West Shore's team in 2015. She has a special interest in animal behavior and exotic animals. Outside of work Shawnee enjoys riding her motorcycle, attending concerts, and spending time with her friends. She has three cats, one dog, one ball python, and a betta fish.


  • Certified Veterinary Technician

    Sharayah Shue

    Sharayah graduated from YTI Career Institute with her Associates Degree in Specialized technology. In May of 2015 she passed her Board Certification Test, and she is now a Certified Veterinary Technician. Sharayah shows special interest in Surgery. She has a 4 year old Water Dragon named Apollo. In her free time she enjoys playing street hockey, kayaking, and spending time with her family and friends.

    Jen Soroka
    Veterinary Tech School: Veterinary Technician Institute of Pittsburgh

    Jen is a graduate of the Veterinary Technician Institute in Pittsburgh, PA. She joined our team after completing an internship with us in early 2011 and deciding that she liked the New Cumberland area better than Pittsburgh. Jen has a special interest in preventive medicine and anesthesia.

    Special Note from Jen: I started working at VCA West Shore Animal Hospital in January 2011. It is definately a rewarding job, and although there can be some tough times, I know our patients are receiving the best care possible.
