Our Avian & Exotics department at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital has extensive training in the care and medicine of all reptile species. Reptiles can be unique and wonderful pets, and can thrive in captivity with proper housing and care. We offer in-hospital consults as well as house calls for all non-venomous reptiles. Reptiles can get a wide variety of infectious diseases, nutrition-related problems, and other health issues that are unique to these unique animals. Annual exams are recommended for most species.
