Minimally invasive surgical and laparoscopic procedures
Minimally invasive surgical and laparoscopic procedures
Dear Colleagues:
The purpose of this letter is to let you know that the VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital in conjunction with VCA California Animal Hospital Veterinary Specialty Group is now offering minimally invasive surgical (MIS) and laparoscopic procedures. Procedures include but are not limited to ovariectomy and ovariohysterectomy, gastropexy, cryptorchid neuters, and laprascopic biopsies.
During the week of October 11th, 2010, Dr. Clarence Rawlings, DACVS, of the University of Georgia will be at our clinics lecturing and performing laparoscopic procedures. Dr. Rawlings is one of the pioneers of small animal
laparoscopy and MIS. He has published several papers on laparoscopic procedures and travels extensively training individuals on these procedures at veterinary teaching hospitals and clinics throughout the United States. We will also be sending out information for an evening dinner and continuing education meeting to be held on Monday October 11th with Dr. Rawlings presenting detailed information on these procedures. If you have clients with pets in need of laparoscopy or MIS or you would like to talk about potential cases, please contact Dr. Nicole Buote, DACVS, at 310-479-3336 (Wednesday-Saturday) or via e-mail at njbuote@aol.com or Dr. Sady Cabrera, at 310-473-2951 (Sunday-Wednesday) or via e-mail at sady.cabrera@vcahospitals.com, as we will be able to offer substantial discounts for these procedures during the week of October 11th.
Sincerely,
Sady Cabrera, DVM (Staff Surgeon)
VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital
