Eve Watson is a 55-year-old owner of a liquor store in Torquay, Devon. An armed man recently came into her store, but she fought him off with help of her loyal dog, according to The Sun.

The wannabe theif, who used a knife as a weapon, entered the store once he noticed there were two women working. The 24-year-old ended up leaving the store empty-handed, according to the media outlet.

"He was a chancer that saw two women alone in a shop and assumed it would be easy, but I think he got more than he bargained for," Watson told the news source. ''Cane was jumping up and down and bit him at least three times in the crotch. I don't think he drew blood but the attacker leapt over the counter and ran off."

This was not the first time that a dog has saved people from an attacker. According to ABC News in Tampa, two dogs saved a family from two gunmen who were attempting to rob the family this past March. The two dogs scared the men away, and the family and the canine's health and safety was protected.
