  • Technician Supervisor

    Janelle Riggleman
    Veterinary Tech School: Purdue University

    Janelle Riggleman is our Technical Supervisor. She is a Registered Veterinary Technician with a bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology from Purdue University. Although RVTs have many career options, Janelle enjoys working in the hospital setting because her passion is helping pets and their people. She aspires to continue work within this environment and eventually become Certified Practice Manager and manage all aspects of a Veterinary Hospital. Janelle shares her life with two Labradoodles;  Jack and Fitch, and four cats; Josie, Calvin, Harley and Ninja.

    Beth Mix
    Veterinary Tech School: Purdue University School of Veterinary Technology

    Beth has worked at VCA West 86th St since June of 2015. She grew up on a farm and has large animal veterinary experience but her passion is for dogs and cats. Beth has two dogs; Bella, a rescued German Shepherd and Oliie, a rescued Border Collie mix.

    Frannie Newby
    Veterinary Tech School: Vet Tech Institute @ International Business College

    Frannie has been with VCA West 86th since October of 2014. In addition to working as a full time tech, Frannie is also a lab assistant at International Business College where she instructs prospective veterinary technicians. Frannie has two dogs, Reggie the Corgi and Jack who is a Border Collie mix. She also has two feline family members, Eddie and Max. Frannie is a retired roller derby girl.

    Donna (and Ryder!) Subocz
    Veterinary Tech School: Carrington College Veterinary Technology Program

    Donna is originally from California and has been with VCA West 86th St since 2013. She holds a Veterinary Technician license in both California and Indiana. Donna has experience with small animals but has a passion for horses. You can see her at our hospital at the front desk with her faithful companion, Ryder. Ryder serves as our goodwill ambassador; you will be hard-pressed to meet a more exceptional dog!

  • Veterinary Assistant

    Nichole Cunningham

    As part of high school, Nichole attended J. Everrett Light Career Center and graduated from their Veterinary Assistant program.  Nichole enjoys working with and caring for exotic animals and has experience with a huge variety of reptiles, birds, pocket pets, and large mammals  She is a great resource for husbandry advice for those people who wish to expand their pet experience beyond dogs and cats andshe  is an expert at helping people choose the best pet for their home.  Nichole’s dogs are Tanner; a Bull Mastiff, Sophie; a St. Bernard, Mucho Grande; a Chihuahua, Reese Cup the Peekapoo, and Rose the Shih Tzu. The rest of her menagerie consists of a prairie dog, two parrots, two red pine squirrels, a hedgehog, a kangaroo, and two sugar gliders!

    Chelsea Murray
    Veterinary Tech School: Veterinary Institute at International Business College

    Chelsea is a recent graduate from the Vet Tech program at IBC. While in school Chelsea conducted her clinical training here at our hospital. This quickly led to a full time assistant's position. She will soon be taking the examinations required to obtain her state license. Chelsea has three dogs; Penny, a mix; Louie, Cavalier King Charles Spainiel; and Layla, a spaniel mix. Pickles and Piper are Chelsea's rescue kitties.

  • Veterinary Assistant

    Desi Rybolt
    School: Indiana University

    Originally from Kentucky, Desi lives in Indianapolis her cat Midnight (aka Nightmare), and her snake Jonfen. She volunteers at the Indianapolis Zoo Oceans Biome in her free time and, when she gets the chance, SCUBA dives there with the cownose rays, dogfish and wobbegong sharks, and occasionally the eels. She loves diving, video gaming, and music!
