It was recently announced that there will be a meeting in Melrose, Massachusetts, which is located right outside of Boston, for the public to discuss a dog park, according to the Boston Globe.

All of the residents of the area are invited to take part in the meeting in order to share their opinion about the new dog park, which will be a fenced-in area where pooches can roam freely. The city officials and the Melrose Dog Society are attempting to find a good location for the park, according to the news source.

The meeting will be on Monday July 11th, the media outlet reports.

According to the ASPCA, there are some benefits for bringing a pooch for a dog park. It gives the dog both physical and mental exercise as it is allowed to move about without a leash. It also allows them to be around other pooches, which can boost their social skills and canine health.

However, there are some health risks that can be avoided, as long as a pooch has had all of the vaccinations necessary. Also, some canines have problems with interacting with other dogs and humans, so that is something to keep in mind.
