School: Veterinary Management School Level 2, 2005

My step father Jolly H. Rogers founded this practice in 1983 and he retired in 1999. I have been working here since 1987: I practically grew up here! I have worked in every area of the practice. From Kennel - Technician - Receptionist - Office Manager - and in 2005 Practice manager! Recieved a certificate of completion form the Veterinary Management School Level 2 in May of 2005.
April 2009, VCA (Veterinary Centers of America) bought the hospital. I am excited to be a part of the VCA family and I am looking forward to many more years here with them!

"My love for animals started out when I was about 5 years old. We found a new born kitten that still had its umbilical cord attached. My parents agreed to let me nurse this kitten with a bottle and raise it up. After a few days the precious little kitten became much stronger and began to thrive.  I then decided to name my new baby Lucy.  As time went by she began to gain weight and I thought that we were going to have kittens soon.  We took her to Forest Anmal Hospital to be seen for a sore that she had on her side and to our suprise Lucy was never going to have babies, Lucy was a very plump boy!... LOL..."

I currently have a Golden retriever (Sperry) a doberman (Mira) and three cats (Mocha, Lily, and Stella).

The favorite part of my job is interacting with the pet parents and helping them with their pets needs.

I have worked here for over 20 years. I am married to a wonderful man and we live with 2 cats ( Joe and Alex) and one small 4 lb  terror... Willie ( Dr. Hughes calls him Wee wicked Willie) .

Willie is by far the most spoiled long-hair chihuahua I have ever had the pleasue owning. We adopted him from the CHAT adoption center. When he was brought into VCA for surgery he jumped across the counter and sat in my lap and looked up to me with his one eye and it was love at first sight! He loves kyaking and has videos on Youtube and Vimeo of his kyacking adventures.

"I love my job, it is never boring, and each day is a new adventure and learning experience. I enjoy customer service and working with pets and their pet parents. I enjoy helping others and find working here offers many opportunities every day to do this. My co-workers are amazing and I couldn't ask for a better group of people to work with. The entire team is centered around clients and their a high standard of pet care. That is a big part of why I love what I do"
