    Carri Slaugenhaupt

    Carri Started working at VCA Vineyard Animal Hospital in the fall of 2013.  She was originally hired on as a part time receptionist and delivered pizzas at night for a second job.  She was promoted to full time receptionist in the winter of 2013 and is now a part time assistant as well.  She has attended Penn Foster College for Veterinary Technology as well as CBC.  Past jobs include working at Yellowstone National Park, The Benton Franklin Humane Society and a USDA Licensed pet store in Puyallup, WA.  Her most exciting memories were working with exotic animals such as the Coatimundi, Spotted Genets, Prairie Dogs, ferrets, and various reptiles.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Carri has had a love for animals since she was a child, starting in 4-H and volunteering for the Audubon Society for wildlife Rehabilitation.  She continued to volunteer for other organizations such as the Tri-City Animal Control until her eventual employment at the Humane Society.  She lives with a pack of 3 Dogs; Rhys a 9 year old Cardigan Welsh Corgi, Sally a 2 year old Pointer mix, and Feidhlum a 9 year old Australian Shepherd Mix.  Also a 5 year old cat named  Napoleon, her Panda Goldfish Pepe, and last but not least, “Gator” a leopard Gecko.
