Receptionist SupervisorJoan Holt
Joan has been with since 1994. She is one of the pillars of the practice and she is the lead Client Service Representative. She brings to the front a level of efficiency and accuracy that is unparalleled. She is the proud momma of an adorable Peek-a-poo named Tami. And never to be forgotten, her beloved Chow-chow, Mei-Ling...as well as her beloved Fritz, a gorgeous Pomerianian. Her special areas of interest include behavior and general care of pets. In her spare time she enjoys cultivating orchids, music, and spending time with her close friends.
Joan comes to work each day, year after year because she knows she makes a difference in the care given to clients and their pets. She thrives on assisting clients to better understand what to expect, how to manage all the instructions, and plan for future visits. She is exceptionally detailed oriented and knows that resolving medical issues sometimes depends on how well clients understand what needs to be done and when. She is very patient with clients that have pets on numerous medications and need extra time or asistance.
Jackie is considered one of the pillars of the hospital. She has been with us since 1996 and is still as energetic as ever. She works up in the reception area doing what comes naturally to her---making sure our clients are comfortable and feel welcomed. She has a never-ending work ethic and is tireless. There is nothing she is not willing to do to try and help clients or the support staff in anyway she can. She is bi-lingual, which helps immensely with our Spanish speaking clients. Jackie is also a Federally and State Licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator (now retired). She is Native American and served with the Coast Guard in her younger years. She has a grown son, so her two cats-Tully and HotRod are her babies....along with a Squirrel (Fuzzy) She is very active in the community with many projects, and in her spare time enjoys gardening, cooking, boating, and helping with Native American Educationals as well as school presentations on wildlife.
She says "I simply have to work in the field of veterinary medicine so I can help all creatures and their "parents". I get up each day and come to work because I love my work, the hospital, and my clients. It is really all about the clients and their pets!!!"
