-DANA JACKSON and BRYAN SLYH from LAS CRUCES, NM
Pet Name: Phoebe Jackson
AS MANY OF US DO I LOVE MY ANIMAL, AND WOULD GO TO ANY LENGTH TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE TAKEN CARE OF! THIS OFFICE WAS PROFESSIONAL, KIND, AND OVER ALL A GREAT PLACE TO TAKE YOUR ANIMAL. I DROVE DOWN FROM LAS CRUCES, NM ABOUT 3 HOURS AWAY TO SEE DR. ROSE. SHE WAS GREAT WE LOVED HER AND MY DOG PHOEBE LOVED HER TOO. THEY TOOK THE TIME TO EXPLAIN TO US WHAT WAS GOING ON AND WE WALKED OUT OF THERE FEELING LIKE WE FINALLY HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS. AFTER MANY ATTEMPTS AND HEART ACHE WITH VETS IN LAS CRUCES IT WAS NICE TO FEEL LIKE MY DOG AND I MATTERED. YOU ALL HAVE DONE A GREAT JOB KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!! :)

Pet Name: the miracle babys
we got home from work one day to find our momma cat had babies. 6 total come to find out these poor babies were all tied together at the umbilical cord and couldn't move or nurse from momma. i was between paychecks and needed help asap. no one in santa fe, espanola, or los alamos would help because i didn't have money at that moment. my money was 2 days away. finally i called VCA and told them my situation and the dr said the kittens are more important than money and to get down there right away.... THANK YOU DR.TAYLOR, DR.LARSEN, and the entire staff at VCA WE LOVE YOU GUYS AND MY NEW EXTENDED FAMILY LOVE YOU FOR SAVING THEIR LIVES ........SINCERELY ROBERT SALAZAR
-Julie Joan from Albuquerque, NM
The compassion both myself and my elderly dog, Josephine, encountered at VCA Vet Care was superb. Dr. Nolan worked diligently to determine Josie's inexplicable condition for a cost I could afford. I am grateful to her for her understanding and for radically improving the health of my pet. I highly recommend the facility and commend it's staff for their kindness and support.
Great avian veterinarian
-Dawn from Albuquerque, NM
Pet Name: Dude
It has been challenging to find Avian veterinarians to take care of my pet bird. Thankfully VCA has a great Avian veterinarian named Dr. Russman! Her business card states that she sees small animals, pocket pets, and exotics. She has been wonderful with my cockatiels and I highly recommend her to anyone with birds. I am glad that she has special training to take care of animals other than dogs and cats.
Professionalism in Every Sense of the Word

Pet Name: Talon
To the staff of the VCA (specifically Angela, Renee, Dr. Thomas Hribernik and Samantha Lockwood),
You helped my cat Talon and I through the most traumatic experience of our lives. Talon came to you on an emergency call from Santa Fe and you took him in immediately. Unfortunately everything took a turn for the worse and there were no other options besides one. Lord knows you tried everything to save his life but he also knew that it was Talon's turn to come home to heaven. Without going into deep saddening tears again (since I cried then more than I ever have in my entire life) I will say that Samantha completely reached out to me and Talon helping us make this most difficult decision. She cried with me but also knew it was his best choice. In all my years on this earth I've never met anyone in your profession as personable and honest as you, and for that I can never thank you enough. All of you. Your professionalism and consolation was beyond anyone else I've come across. Thank you for being there and leading us on the right path. You took away his suffering in the most humane way possible. May God smile upon you.
You are my heroes!

Pet Name: Hooch
I brought my dog, Hooch, a beautiful Akita-Shepherd boy, into VCA Emergency on a recent Thursday afternoon with unsettling expectations regarding a very large abdominal mass found via imaging the previous morning. Hooch was examined and taken into surgery quickly, where Drs. Ryan Taggart and Jennifer Zimmer removed a splenic hematoma weighing over 9 lbs.!!! Hooch continues to recover without any complications from this surgery on 9/17/15 and acts like a youngster despite his 10 years! I am so very grateful to EVERYONE I encountered at VCA Hospital, starting from the gals who answered the phone and registered me. You are wonderfully kind and competent. Hooch is healthy and I am happy because of you.
It may SEEM like a minor detail, but....

Pet Name: Quincy
We've been bringing our 5yo golden retriever, Quincy, to VCA since we moved to NM about 8 months ago. Because Q was seen about once a month or so over the course of several years by our previous vet, her vaccination schedule got way out of whack based on a "you're here anyway, x expires soon, we can do it now, ya wanna?" approach that worked out fine given the circumstances at the time. During Q's wellness check last week, the vet we saw noted the situation we're in and came up with a plan to "correct" it to require fewer visits (read: save $$) while keeping her up-to-date. From the outside that may seem a minor detail, but we certainly appreciated both the catch thanks to attention to a detail we'd not had to consider in a long time and the demonstration that this office has no desire to simply dig deeper into our pockets just because they can.
