James Cellini, DVM, Associate Veterinarian

Biography

Dr. James Cellini was born in Athens, Georgia and raised in the suburb of Kennesaw, Georgia. He obtained his bachelor's degree in applied biology from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) in 2005 and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia in 2009. Upon graduation Dr. Cellini completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Veterinary Specialists of South Florida in Cooper City, Florida. He then went on to complete an internship in veterinary neurology/neurosurgery at Gulf Coast Veterinary Neurology/Neurosurgery in Houston, Texas in 2010. In the summer of 2011, Dr. Cellini joined the staff of VCA Veterinary Care Animal Hospital as an Emergency Doctor.

Dr. Cellini's clinical interests include small animal neurologic diseases, critical care medicine, and emergency surgery. When not working at the hospital, he enjoys spending time hiking, snowboarding, and as as many other outdoor activities as he can. He also enjoys cooking, watching movies, playing the occasional video game, and trying out local restaurants throught the Albuquerque and Santa Fe areas.
