Prior to joining the our team, Dr. Kompel worked for a small animal practice in her hometown. She took part in rescue and feral cat programs such as the grey hound rescue and FOCAS (Friends of the Bergen County Animal Shelter). She spent about 3 years at the Emerson Animal Hospital before making her move to southern NJ.

She now lives in Burlington County with her dog Hendon and six furry kids; her cats Tom, Sophie, Sabras, Clark, Pita, Tegan and Hobbs. Tegan and Hobbs are purebred classic silver tabby British short hairs from England.
